Barham/Koondrook Wharf

The wharf was constructed in 1881.

The Barham/Koondrook area is and has been a major freight centre for movement of local farm produce for many years.

The wharf was a key component of the river, rail & road network and the area has been known for boat building.

The existing railway station, goods shed & loading platforms have been retained and the refurbishment of the wharf will enhance the historic link by providing the river connection.  Some of the original equipment, eg crane is to be placed back on the structure.
