Council to host career seminar

Wakool Shire Council is pleased to present an information session on the careers and opportunities in Local Government and the advantages of volunteering or participating in the local community.

The morning has been specifically tailored for senior school students (yrs 10-12) with different topics on Council functions and career opportunities.

There will also be short, rotating sessions with volunteers from local groups to highlight the potential career advantages of being involved in local volunteer organisations.

Our speakers are people in roles at Council or volunteers within the community and have been chosen to share their perspectives, experiences and any relevant advice.

The session also includes question time and an opportunity for students and teachers to tell us about any further info they might like to receive from Council.

The session will run from 10am - approx 12.30pm at the Moulamein Bowling Club.

Anyone who requires additional information should contact Courtney Guy on 03 5453 3200.
