Judges recently met to taste the top product nominees from their state in the From the Earth, From the Dairy, From the Paddock and From the Sea categories – for both primary and artisan producers.
Mr Kerr, who started in the role on the 12 May, has been involved in economic development in regional New South Wales and Queensland for around 20 years.
He joins Wakool Shire Council after seven years in Central Queensland, working around the Gladstone, Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast area.

Refurbishment works to the existing building are due to begin later this month, which will see staff relocated into the current chambers.
